Information About Our Use of Cookies

Our website uses small files called cookies to help us to provide you with a good experience when you browse our website and also allows us to improve our site. Find out more about cookies and how you can control them.

This page contains information on what ‘cookies’ are, the cookies used by Twinlab Consolidation Corporation (“Twinlab”) and its REAALMuscle.com website and Software (individually and collectively, the “Twinlab Content”), how to switch cookies off in your browser, how to specifically switch off advertising cookies, and some useful links for further reading on the subject. If it does not provide the information you were looking for, or you have any further questions about the use of cookies on the REAALMuscle.com website, please email support@reaalmuscle.com.

What are Cookies?

Cookies are small data files of letters and numbers that we store on your browser or the hard drive of your device if you agree.  Cookies contain information that is transferred to your device’s hard drive at the request of a Web site to enable the site to recognize users who have previously visited them and retain certain information such as customer preferences and history. You can think of cookies as providing a ‘memory’ for the website so that it can recognize you when you come back and respond appropriately.

What are Different Types of Cookies?

First party cookies – these are our own cookies set by our Twinlab Content, controlled by us and used to provide information about the usage of our Twinlab Content.

Third party cookies – these are cookies from any other domain. We use a number of suppliers that may also set cookies on your device on our behalf when you visit our website to allow them to deliver the services they are providing.  Twinlab also uses web beacons alone or in conjunction with cookies to compile information about the usage of our websites and interaction with emails from Twinlab. Web beacons are transparent electronic images that can recognize certain types of information on your device, such as cookies, when you viewed a particular website tied to the web beacon, and a description of a website tied to the web beacon. For example, Twinlab may place web beacons in marketing emails that notify Twinlab when you click on a link in the email that directs you to one of our websites. Twinlab uses web beacons to operate and improve our websites and email communications.

How Long do Cookies stay on my Computer?

Two types of cookies may be used on the Twinlab Content, session cookies and persistent cookies.

Session cookies – are temporary cookies that remain on your device until you leave the Twinlab Content.

Persistent cookies – are stored on your hard drive until you delete them or they reach their expiration date. These may, for example, be used to remember your preferences when you use the Twinlab Content and recognize you on your return.

What Cookies does Twinlab use?

The cookies used on Twinlab Content have been grouped according to the International Chamber of Commerce UK Cookie categorization to help explain what they do.

  • Strictly necessary cookies
  • Performance cookies
  • Functionality cookies
  • Targeting cookies

We use the following cookies:

Strictly Necessary Cookies. These are cookies that are required for the operation of our Twinlab Content. They include, for example, cookies that enable you to log into secure areas of our Twinlab Content, use a shopping cart or make use of e-billing services.  We may use Strictly Necessary cookies to:

  • Remember the goods and services you selected when you get to the payment page
  • Identify you as being logged into the site
  • Provide access to protected areas of the Twinlab Content
  • Remember previously entered text so it’s not lost if the page refreshes

Consent is not required for Strictly Necessary cookies as they are required for us to provide the services requested by you.

Analytical/Performance Cookies. They allow us to recognize and count the number of users and to see how users move around our Twinlab Content when they are using it. This helps us to improve the way our Twinlab Content works, for example, by ensuring that users are finding what they are looking for easily.  These cookies don’t collect information that identifies a user. All information these cookies collect is aggregated and therefore anonymous.  They are only used to improve how the Twinlab Content work(s).  We may use Performance cookies to:

  • Store preferences to see which method of linking between pages is most effective
  • Enable web analytics to provide anonymous statistics on how our Twinlab Content or Software is used
  • To assist with error management in helping us improve the Twinlab Content or Software by measuring any errors that occur

Functionality Cookies. These are used to recognize you when you return to our Twinlab Content. This enables us to personalize our content for you, greet you by name and remember your preferences (for example, your choice of language or region).  They may also be used to provide services you have asked for such as watching a video or commenting on a blog.  The information these cookies collect may be anonymized and they cannot track your browsing activity on other websites.  We may use Functionality cookies to:

  • Remember settings you have applied such as layout, colors, font sizes and page backgrounds
  • Remember if we’ve already asked you if you want to fill in a survey
  • Detect if you have already seen a pop-up to ensure it doesn’t get shown to you again
  • Process a request from a user to submit a comment or blog or forum post
  • Show you the most relevant content based on your browsing behavior

Targeting/Advertising Cookies. These cookies record your visit to our Twinlab Content, the pages you have visited and the links you have followed. We will use this information to make our website and the advertising displayed on it more relevant to your interests. We may also share this information with third parties for this purpose.  We may use Targeting cookies to:

  • Collect information about browsing habits to target advertising
  • Collect information about browser habits to target website content
  • Show advertisements for Twinlab Content on third-party sites based on your browsing habits

Consent:

By using our Twinlab Content, you agree that we can place these types of cookies on your device and access them when you visit the site or use the Twinlab Content.

You can delete or manage cookies other than Strictly Necessary Cookies.  If you delete these cookies, any preferences or settings you selected will not be retained for later visits.

How do I Turn Cookies Off?

It is usually possible to stop your browser accepting cookies, or to stop it from accepting cookies from a particular website. All modern browsers allow you to change your cookie settings. You can usually find these settings in the ‘options’ or ‘preferences’ menu of your browser. To understand these settings, the following links may be helpful, or you can use the ‘Help’ option in your browser for more details.  You block cookies by activating the setting on your browser that allows you to refuse the setting of all or some cookies. However, if you use your browser settings to block all cookies (including essential cookies) you may not be able to access all or parts of our Twinlab Content.
